ANDREW SCOTT b. 11-2-1786 N.C. d. 1859 Sangamon Co., Ill. s/o John and Nancy Keith
Scott, m. 5-28-1808 Jackson Co., Tenn. Anna Longest d/o Caleb & Hannah Longest.  Andrew &
Anna Scott removed to Indiana about 1815 removed to Illinois 1821, first stopping west of
Springfield, then to Richland Creek and from there to Island Grove Sangamon County in 1824. 
Andrew & Anna owned land in township 21N range 1 E Funks Grove township, McLean Co., Ill.
1836, there is also a deed record found in Bk. B McLean Co., Ill. deed records for a parcel of land
sold on 10-27-1834.  After the death of Anna Longest Scott, Andrew Scott m. Mrs. Maxwell
whose maiden name was Ellis she died in 1861.  Andrew Scott was a minister of the Christian
Church.  Andrew & Anna Scott had 11 children-----
1- GADDIAL b. 8-9-1809 Jackson Co., Tenn. m. 7-25-1833 Island Grove, Sangamon Co., Ill.
	Susan Sexton b. 5-25-1810 Knox Co., Ky. d. 1-22-1875.  In 1834 they moved to Knox
	Co., Ill settling 4 miles North of Knoxville.  Gaddial later lived near Galesburg, Ill.  There
	children were:
	A- William M. b. 7-21-1834 d. 7-18-1863
	B- John W. b. 3-26-1836 d. 10-6-1862
	C- Elizabeth S. b. 4-27-1839 d. 2-22-1864
	D- Enoch S. b. 7-25-1841 near Galesburg, Ill. m. 7-4-1863 Mary R. Grant - they had 2
		children-- (a) John W. (b) Clarence R. and lived near Galesburg, Ill.
	E- James M. b. 5-25-1843 Knox Co., Ill. m. 2-23-1870 Della Lotts their children were:
	(a) Forrest L. (b) Olive B. and lived near Galesburg, Ill.
2- NANCY b. 2-22-1811 Lincoln Co., Ky. m. in Sangamon Co., Ill. John Slatten.  They moved to
	DeWitt County and from there to Des Moines Iowa in 1856.  They had 7 children but I
	have been unable to locate their names.  John and Nancy Slatten sold land in McLean Co.,
	Ill. 1-5-1834 and removed to DeWitt Co., Deed Bk. A pg. 164
3- JAMES L. b. 1-12-1813 Giles Co., Tenn. m. Oct. 1839 Jefferson Co, Iowa Mary Ann Gilmer
	b. 12-18-1818 Adair Co., Ky.  They had 12 children, only 6 survived - they were-- (A)
	Samantha b. 1842 (B) Iowa E. b. 1844 (C) Annex Texas b. 1846 an invalid d. age 30 (D)
	Dick b. 1848 (E) Frank b. 1850 (F) Wilson A. b. 1856 d. 12-15-1889 age 33 (G) Caleb
	D. b. 1859 (H) Olive

4- ELIZABETH A. b. 1-20-1815 Harrison Co., Ind.  d. 3-2-1888 DeWitt Co., Ill. m. abt 1835
	John Maxwell b. 4-18-1807 N.C. d. 1-5-1891 DeWitt Co., Ill. both buried RockCreek
	cemetery near Waynesville.  Their children listed in the 1850 DeWitt Co., Ill. census are
	-- (A) Anna J. b. 1836 (B) John A. b. 3-28-1838 d. July 1919 his wife Leanah d. 3-31-1886
	age 43 yrs. (C) James D. 1840 (D) Mary L. 1842 (E) Dorindo O. b. 1845 (F) Ottie W.
	who died in infancy and is buried RockCreek cemetery.  John & Elizabeth lived at
	Waynesville, Illinois.
5- ANNA b. 1-21-1817 Orange Co., Ind. m. Robert Tilford Gilmer brother of Mary Ann Gilmer
	w/o James L. Scott- They had one son and lived near Glasgow, Jefferson 	Co., Ill.
6- WILSON(or WILLSON ALEXANDER) b. 11-20-1818 Crawford Co., Ind. m. Mrs. Louisa
	Jayne who was said to be a very intelligent Indian woman, a good wife, but she had an
	appetite for "firewater" and would lock herself in her home and go on a spree for a week.
