105TH INFANTRY


From the "History of DeWitt County, Illinois - 1882"

About half of Company K, of this regiment, volunteered from DeWitt County.  The regiment
was mustered into the United States service, September 2, 1862, at Dixon, Illinois.  It
left Washington DC, June 7, 1865, after being mustered out, and arrived at Camp Fry,
Chicago, on the 10th where it received paymnent and was disbanded May 17, 1865.
